Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of joyfulvoices.co, private lessons with Eleanor / Joyful Voices, and the Joyful Voices Studio app (“the App”). By using our services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

1. Who we are

Joyful Voices is a vocal coaching practice based in Dubai, UAE, offering in-person and online lessons and the Joyful Voices Studio digital training app. Contact: hello@joyfulvoices.co. Company registration details will be added when a UK limited company (or other entity) is incorporated.

2. Eligibility (13+)

You must be at least 13 years old to create an App account. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement. False age information may lead to termination. Under-18 private lesson students require appropriate parental involvement (see Safeguarding).

3. Accounts

App accounts use Google OAuth. You are responsible for securing your Google account and for activity under your Joyful Voices Studio profile. One account per person.

4. The App service

The App may provide:

• Structured vocal curriculum, warm-ups, and exercises
• Real-time pitch detection and session analysis on your device
• Progress, repertoire, and vocal-health tracking
• Optional on-device features (lyric transcription / Eleanor’s Insight AI coaching) as described in the Privacy Policy
• Paid course tracks and features on Pro / Studio plans

Exam-board materials are educational alignment only — Joyful Voices is not affiliated with or endorsed by ABRSM or LCM.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Free, Pro, and Studio tiers are described on the Pricing page and in the App Subscription screen.
• Paid plans are purchased via Stripe on the web (not Apple/Google IAP at this stage). After checkout, the same signed-in account unlocks features in the App.
• Prefer upgrading from the in-app Subscription screen so your account is attached correctly to checkout.
• Plans renew monthly until cancelled via the Stripe Customer Portal (when enabled) or by contacting us.
• Refunds: subject to applicable consumer law and Stripe dispute processes; contact hello@joyfulvoices.co within 14 days of a billing issue where possible.

Private lesson fees (1:1 coaching) are separate from App subscriptions unless agreed in writing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the App or website
• Share account credentials or scrape curriculum content at scale
• Upload unlawful content or harass others
• Misrepresent affiliation with ABRSM, LCM, or Joyful Voices

7. Vocal health disclaimer

The App provides educational coaching signals (including strain indicators and warm-up suggestions). It is not medical advice and does not replace a qualified clinician, ENT, or speech-language therapist. Stop if you feel pain and seek professional care when needed.

8. Intellectual property

App software, branding, and original curriculum text belong to Joyful Voices or its licensors. You retain rights in your personal performance data as described in the Privacy Policy. Third-party repertoire titles remain subject to their copyright owners — we do not grant performance rights.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joyful Voices is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the App or website. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the App in any 12-month period is limited to fees you paid us for the App in that period (if any). Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other non-excludable liability.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account and personal data, email privacy@joyfulvoices.co (processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention). We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

11. Privacy

Use of the services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
