This policy explains how Joyful Voices uses cookies and similar technologies on joyfulvoices.co and how the Joyful Voices Studio app uses on-device storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and mobile secure storage.

2. Website (joyfulvoices.co)

Essential

• Security and load-balancing cookies from our hosting / CDN (Cloudflare) where required
• Preference cookies needed for basic site function (if enabled)

Analytics / marketing

We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies. If we enable analytics (e.g. privacy-respecting site analytics), we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.

3. Joyful Voices Studio app

The App uses local device storage (e.g. AsyncStorage), not browser advertising cookies, to:

• Keep your authenticated session
• Store app preferences (theme, coaching toggles)
• Queue offline / retry data (e.g. pending practice session uploads)
• Cache limited home-screen data for offline fallback

Optional on-device ML models (Whisper / coaching LLM) download to device storage only when the feature is used or enabled. They are not third-party tracking cookies.

4. Payments

Stripe may set cookies or similar technologies on checkout and Customer Portal pages under Stripe's own policies. Those pages are operated by Stripe.

5. How to control cookies

• Browser settings: block or delete cookies (essential cookies may be required for the site to work)
• App: sign out or clear app storage / reinstall to remove local preferences and session
